About Cathie

Seen Modelled my Emma Mclaren and stood alongside three generations of creative women, Cathie McCartan (designer), Charlotte Pottes,Cathie's niece) and Susan Potts (Cathie's mum).

Cathie has been sewing for over 35 years and has been a bespoke bridal dressmaker for over 20 years. Not to mention other exciting commissions for London fashion stylist Bernard Connelly, Performance clothing for Sarah J. Hawley (Massive Attack Session singer) and historical costume for TV.

 

Currently studying for a Masters Degree in Fashion: Creative Pattern Cutting, Cathie also has a BA in Fine Art Textiles from Goldsmiths College, London and an HND in Fashion Technology alongside qualifications for Computer Pattern Grading and a Level 4 Teaching Diploma.

 

Cathie has a broad and extensive knowledge of sewing, fashion, art and crafts and has great patience to teach you everything you would like to know!
